Participation of the Venice Commission in a hearing on the follow-up to PACE Resolution 2513(2023) on “Pegasus and similar spyware and secret State surveillance”

Paris/online - Mr Iain Cameron, member of the Venice Commission in respect of Sweden, participated online in a meeting of the Committee on Legal Affairs and Human Rights of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, which took place in Paris, France, on 3 March 2025.

Mr Cameron participated in a hearing on the follow-up to PACE Resolution 2513(2023) on “Pegasus and similar spyware and secret State surveillance” and presented the findings and recommendations of the Report on a rule of law and human rights compliant regulation of spyware, adopted by the Venice Commission at its 141st Plenary Session (Venice, 6-7 December 2024).
