On 25, 26 and 27 November, on the occasion of the Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, the Italian office of the Council of Europe will share the three episode podcast "LILITH the origin of women".
The show, produced by Arte-Mide Theatre and sponsored by the Culture Department of the City of Venice, through the Candiani Centre and in collaboration with Ca' Foscari University, aims to celebrate women's independence and freedom.
The sole interpreter is actress Chiarastella Seravalle with whom the Venice Office collaborated in the past in similar projects on equality between women and men.
In presenting the show, the President of the Venice City Council, Ermelinda Damiano, spoke of the importance that the City of Venice places on the fight against gender-based violence, in line with art. 14 of the Istanbul Convention of the Council of Europe. This provides for the promotion of the prevention and fight against violence against women and domestic violence, in cultural and leisure centres and mass media .
