Professor Luciano Perrolo of Ca' Foscari University of Venice chaired the Interreg Italy-Slovenia Conference " Narrating cultural heritage for sustainable tourism on 27-28 May.
This took place in the 19th century in Salzano spinning mill where Luisella Pavan-Woolfe, Director of the Italian Office of the Council of Europe, presented the European cultural routes programme and the European silk route project together with Silvia Cappellozza of Crea Agricoltura e Ambiente of Padova.
Cappellozza spoke of silkworm rearing and its impact on culture, landscape and as well as on the economy of a region.
