Back Reflecting on "Culture Next Generation" in Viareggio

Reflecting on

The revitalisation of the culture and entertainment sector in the post-Covid era was debated from a national and European perspective on 9 July at Casa Europa in Viareggio.

The event’s aim was to share ideas and good practices after the confinement measures imposed by the COVID19-pandemic. In particular, funding opportunities for new cultural projects made available by the Italian Ministry of Culture and the European Union were presented. Among those, the Boarding Pass Plus call and the New European Bauhaus stood out.

Luisella Pavan-Woolfe, Head of the Council of Europe office in Venice, intervened on the topic of new models of cultural development for society and heritage communities. "Nowadays, -she concluded- culture seems to provide the best tools to design a more cohesive and secure society and to contribute to citizens' health and well-being".
