The World Forum for Democracy 2019 is delighted to host a Conversation with David Patrikarakos within the framework of this year’s Forum. The event will take place at 17.00 on Thursday 7th November in Room 1 of the Palais de l’Europe and will be followed by a reception. The Conversation will centre around David’s most recent book “War in 140 Characters: How Social Media is Reshaping Conflict in the Twenty First Century” and will be moderated by writer and columnist Jean-Paul Marthoz.
David Patrikarakos is an author, journalist and broadcaster with extensive experience in international affairs. He has worked for the Daily Beast and Politico Europe as well as being the Poynter Fellow at Yale University and a Non-Resident Fellow in the School of Iranian Studies, at the University of St. Andrews. “War in 140 Characters” is his second book and has received international acclaim. His first book was called “Nuclear Iran: The Birth of an Atomic State” and was named the New York.
