Francine RAVENEY

Francine Raveney is currently Head of PR for the European Women’s Audiovisual Network (www.ewawomen.com), which she founded and formerly directed (2013-2016). In this role she oversaw research, training and networking in the audiovisual sector and contributed to the changing face of gender equality in the film industry in particular. She currently works part-time at the Eurimages film fund where she specializes in gender equality and co-productions and where she oversaw the adoption of the first ever pan-European recommendation on gender equality in the audiovisual sector. She also regularly teaches on Master of Studies courses, and works as a consultant at film festivals as well as carrying out some translation work. Raveney studied French and English Literature, followed by Women’s Studies, at Queen’s College, Oxford University, and subsequently received the Entente Cordiale scholarship to study politics and literature at Strasbourg University.
