Munizae Jahangir is an award-winning broadcast journalist and documentary filmmaker, anchoring a current affairs show,”Spotlight”on Pakistan’s Aaj TV. Since 2004 Jahangir has been anchoring and reporting for prominent media outlets in Pakistan. She became the first Pakistani to work for any private Indian TV channel; (NDTV) as their correspondent. Jahangir was honored as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum in 2008. She is on the board of the Asma Jahangir legal aid cell which provides free representation to marginalized women, children and minorities. She is the founding member of South Asian Women in Media and a council member of the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan.
