From 14 to 17 May, following his appointment as Head of the Council of Europe Office in Yerevan, Maxime Longangué engaged in a series of courtesy meetings with high-level Government representatives and key partners in Armenia. This phase of meetings included strategic discussions and introductions to facilitate future collaborations with the Council of Europe and its office in Yerevan.
Maxime Longangué’s agenda included meetings with Ruben Rubinyan, Vice President of the National Assembly; Vahe Ghazaryan, Minister of Internal Affairs; Arman Dilanyan, President of the Constitutional Court; Anna Vardapetyan, Prosecutor General; Anahit Manasyan, Human Rights Defender; Yeghishe Kirakosyan, Representative on International Legal Matters; and Sergey Arakelyan, Rector of the Justice Academy.
During the meetings, Maxime Longangué highly praised the established robust working relationships with Armenian officials and reaffirmed the commitment of the Council of Europe to support Armenia’s democratic and legal reforms, as well as future cooperation and successful implementation of the 2023-2026 Council of Europe Action Plan for Armenia.
