The European Union, the Council of Europe and the Armenian partners and beneficiaries have emphasised the importance of the Partnership for Good Governance programme in aligning Armenia‘s reform efforts with European standards in areas of strengthening justice, preventing and countering economic crime, and promoting equality and non-discrimination.
During the third local steering committee meeting, the participants welcomed the progress and tangible results achieved in the framework of the three country-specific projects. They also recognised the added value of the regional activities of the Programme focusing on economic crime, equality and non-discrimination, and women's access to justice, as complementary to country specific interventions.
As a result of the meeting, the participants agreed on the priority activities for the year 2025 engaging public authorities and civil society organisations.
The Partnership for Good Governance provides targeted support to Armenia, facilitating progress in key areas of governance. This support builds on the achievements of previous phases of the EU and Council of Europe joint programme.
