During his visit to Strasbourg this week, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Affairs of Belgium, Didier Reynders, candidate to the post of Secretary General of the Council of Europe, took the time to visit the European Youth Centre.
Mr Reynders wished to learn about the youth sector’s work: the European Youth Centres in Strasbourg and Budapest where young multipliers are trained in the values of the Council of Europe, the European Youth Foundation, the partnership between the European Union and the Council of Europe in the field of youth, and the unique co-management system.
He also had the opportunity to gain first-hand experience of the youth sector’s work in an exchange with the participants in a study session organised by the Association of Service Civil International (SCI) and Voices of Young Refugees in Europe (VYRE).
