Aim
To increase the capacity of minority, indigenous and autochthonous youth activists, NGO representatives empowering them with the skills and knowledge necessary to secure and defend their right to self-determination.
Objectives
- 1. To improve participants knowledge and understanding of self-determination in multiple political and cultural context.
- 2. To approach and define various topics linked to self-determination such as transitional justice and environmentalism from the perspective of marginalized people.
- 3. To analyse democratic challenges faced by marginalized communities and how to ensure their participation and representation in the face of an increasingly hostile political environment.
- 4. To share intercultural knowledge to build up solidarity and understanding between participants.
- 5. To develop capacity building skills by enhancing the collaboration between young activists and the UNPOy network.
- 6. To encourage participants to develop follow up initiatives in their communities after the study session ensuring that the projects are collaboratively managed with UNPOy.
