The online learning activity "Climate Generation: Our Planet, Our Rights, Our Future" has started last week and will take place until the end of May. The course is organised in cooperation with TEJO - Tutmonda Esperantista Junulara Organizo (World Esperanto Youth Organization).
It aims to raise awareness on the connection between environmental protection/sustainability and respect of Human Rights, as well as, to support the participants in their efforts on climate advocacy and Human Rights in the local communities.
The activity gathers a group of active young people in the field of climate change from 10 different countries. It contains several webinars and an e-learning spaces hosted on the Council of Europe’s youth e-learning platform.
The webinars cover the following topics:
- 1st week: Introduction of the participants, introduction to the topic of climate change, and mapping realities of participants regarding climate change activism.
- 2nd week: Climate change and Human Rights (the work of the Council of Europe and possibilities for youth involvement).
- 3rd week: Communicating about climate change/Follow-up initiatives and possibilities
