The online workshop Colours of Human Diversity held today its first webinar. The workshop aims to introduce the topics of inclusion, intersectionality and identity to the participants coming from different university and school student unions and associations, or work as activists for rights of people with disabilities. The participants shared their experience in social inclusion and as a result of the workshop will brainstorm on new projects to promote inclusion. Prior to the webinar, an e-learning course was set up to accompany the workshop, where the participants have a chance to learn more about the work of the Council of Europe, notably the Youth for Democracy programme and its activities focused on social inclusion, as well as, the Council of Europe Disability Strategy 2017-2023.
The workshop is prepared in cooperation with ENIL – European Network for Independent Living and AEGEE – European Students Forum and it includes participants from OBESSU as well (Organising Bureau of European School Student Unions). The participants from these 3 different European youth organisations will have a chance to work online together and devise ideas how to promote inclusion in their organisations
