Approximately 30 members of the Permanent Representations to the Council of Europe attended a lively one-and-a-half hour information session on the youth sector on 16 September 2019, organised by the chairs and vice-chairs of the statutory committees and staff of the Youth Department in the European Youth Centre in Strasbourg.
The interdependent instruments, methodologies and policies – the Youth for Democracy programme, the European Youth Foundation, the co-management system, the European Youth Centres in Strasbourg and Budapest, the EC/CoE youth partnership – were presented. These instruments ensure maximum impact of the Council of Europe’s youth for democracy programme and have been successfully shaping generations of democracy and human rights-spirited young Europeans since 1972.
