The representatives of the Partial Agreement on Youth Mobility through the Youth Card contributed to the “Breakfast Roundtable on women’s health and sport” organised on the occasion of International Women’s Day.
Liliya Elenkova, Vice-Chair of the Partial Agreement’s Board of Co-ordination, participated in a panel discussing possible practical solutions to overcome general neglect of women’s health issues in sport might be, how to increase awareness, education and training on this important subject and how to overcome obstacles often rooted in the society’s conscience. Manel Sanchez, Director of EYCA – the Partial Agreement’s statutory partner – took part in a panel focusing on lived experiences and how athletes and coaches have tried to overcome health-related problems.
The Breakfast Roundtable was organised by the Council of Europe’s Enlarged Partial Agreement on Sport (EPAS) and subscribes into joint efforts to bring a strong youth perspective into European sports policies and initiatives.
