Talking with Youth about Human Rights

On 29 September, Národný inštitút vzdelávania a mládže – NIVAM begins a five-day Compass training course to improve youth sector multipliers’ competences for human rights education based on non-formal education methodology. The training course “Talking with youth about human rights through non-formal education” in Piešťany will stimulate and develop quality programmes and activities of human rights education at the local, regional, and national levels.

In the first day 20 youth workers and youth leaders from n Slovak Republic discussed human rights education in national youth policy and youth work framework with Kamila Dankovčiková from the Ministry of Education, Research, Development and Youth and member of the European Steering Committee for Youth (CDEJ) from Slovak Republic. Ida Kreutzman, Educational Advisor of the Youth Department of the Council of Europe presented the youth sector and the Council of Europe Human Rights Programme with Young People.
