  About the organisations

Youth Express Network (YEN) is an European network of grass-root and youth-led organisations. The YEN is a full member of the European Youth Forum. The member organisations of the YEN all work at local, regional and/or European level on the social inclusion of young people. Since 1993, YEN has organised more than 120 international activities bringing together youth organisations, social/youth workers and young people with fewer opportunities. YEN’s vision is to reach an inclusive society, where young people, their needs and participation are recognised, valued and appreciated. The YEN encourages young people with fewer opportunities to make their voice heard.

The European Confederation of Youth Clubs (ECYC) represents a European network of youth work and youth club organisations that practice and promote open youth work and non-formal education. With 22 nationally represented organisations in 13 EU and 23 Council of  Europe member State Countries, reaching 1.2 million young people, the organisation has at its heart the support of youth clubs and other forms of neighbourhood youth work. Founded in 1976, the vision of the  ECYC is to empower young people through open youth work and non-formal learning in order to promote democratic and civil society and to encourage young people to be actively involved in their communities. The ECYC is a full member of the European Youth Forum and the Council of Europe Conference of INGOS.
