2025 European Platform of Youth Centres
The European Platform Meeting for Quality Label Youth Centres and Friends takes place in Luxembourg, between 6-7 May. This year’s event is co-organised by the Council of Europe Youth Department and the Luxembourgish National Youth Service (SNJ) under the auspices of the Luxembourgish Presidency of the Committee of Ministers.
The Platform Meeting is organised annually to encourage professional knowledge sharing among youth centres awarded with the Quality Label and those aspiring to its acquisition.
The Luxembourgish Chairmanship of the Committee of Ministers, in 2025, has included the meeting of the Platform as one of the priorities actions of the semester, offering the unique opportunity to include a broader audience and promote the Quality Label for Youth Centre programme beyond the existing network. Each labelled centre has been invited to bring a “friend”, or a key stakeholder, such as a representative from local, regional or national authority, youth organisation, a board member or a partner centre, who would be interested in strengthening the capacity and growing the network.
The programme has been designed to provide youth centres and their “friends” the opportunity to discover a diverse range of youth work carried out by youth centres across Europe and to discuss the need and opportunities for quality spaces designed with and for young people. The event will also enable public authorities to raise awareness of the positive impact of quality youth facilities and to motivate member states to consider participating in the network of labelled centres.
Approximately 80 participants from Council of Europe member states and beyond will gather to celebrate the achievements of the network and to reflect on challenges and opportunities for sustainable grow in the coming years.
