Background
25 years ago, the European Youth Centre Budapest opened its doors for the first time. During this past quarter of a century, the EYCB has played an extraordinary role in supporting young people from across the continent to benefit fully from human rights, democracy and the rule of law.
On the occasion of this special 25th anniversary, we would like to kindly invite all former participants, visitors and partners of the EYCB to celebrate with us by sharing their most precious and unforgettable memories from the youth centre on social media platforms.
How can you take part?
1. Choose a photo which was taken in the EYCB during your visit.
2. Share it on our social media platforms as follows:
- Post your photo on Facebook or Instagram before 31 May 2021
- Write a title or a caption of maximum 500 words, preferably in English
- Indictate the year when your picture was taken
- Use the hashtags #eycb25 #myeycbmemory
- Tag the European Youth Centre Budapest account:

Rules
By taking part in this photo project, you give permission to the Council of Europe and the European Youth Centre Budapest to use and disseminate the images you submitted via social media or through their website.
Participants must obtain the consent for the use of the photos, from the persons featured in them, in accordance with the applicable laws and comply with any other relevant legislation when uploading their pictures.
Photographs that may, in any form or manner, offend the values of the Council of Europe will be automatically removed from the EYCB social media accounts.
Use of images
The submitted pictures will be showcased on the EYCB website and social media channels in various formats (re-posted, shared in stories…).
A selection of the best photos presented during the period of this project will be featured in the EYCB25 print publication and exhibited in the EYCB in the course of 2021.
In addition, submitted photos may be used for visibility materials (brochures, posters, flyers…) and for online communication to promote future events, as well as for awareness-raising purposes for the work of the Council of Europe and the European Youth Centre Budapest.
