Back Oulu joins 6 other Finnish municipalities to work on good relations and intercultural integration

The municipality of Oulu has become the seventh city participating in the EU / CoE joint project “Building an inclusive integration approach in Finland”.

Oulu is a city known for its strong economy, innovative technology sector, and a rich blend of rural and urban environments. Through the project, it will work together with other six Finnish municipalities for the implementation of local integration strategies that align with the principles of the Finnish Good Relations concept and the Council of Europe's intercultural integration approach. The municipality will receive comprehensive support and guidance to:

  • Complete the ICC Index and obtain recommendations through an Index Report;
  • Develop local integration strategies or other tools for the implementation of the Good Relations and intercultural integration principles.
