Atout France, through a partnership with the Ministry of Culture of France, launches an e-learning module on the Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe, with a focus on France.

This e-learning module was designed as part of the partnership agreement signed between the Ministry of Culture of France and Atout France, France’s National Tourism Development Agency. It is a fun, educational and interactive module for testing one’s knowledge and discovering some of the Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe crossing France, using videos, maps, photos and quizzes. Thanks to its AI technology, this module adapts to the level, pace and preferences of the user, enabling them to discover the history, heritage and expertise of several of the more than 30 Cultural Routes certified by the Council of Europe crossing France.

France has been a member of the Enlarged Partial Agreement on Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe (EPA) since 2011 and is one of its founding member states. Today, France is the European country with the largest number of Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe, with more than 30 Cultural Routes crossing the country and 14 Cultural Routes having their headquarters in France.

Mr Bruno FAVEL, Head of the World Heritage Mission, General Directorate for Heritage and Architecture, Ministry of Culture, and Ms Orane PROISY, Head of the European Heritage Projects and Networks Unit, Ministry of Culture, are France's national representatives on the EPA on the Cultural Routes.
