Strong growth among the Cultural Routes of the Council Europe networks in 2021: +400 new institutional network members (source: online Database)

The Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe Programme saw a remarkable growth in the number of new network members each year. In 2021, more than 400 new institutional joined the 48 Cultural Route of the Council of Europe networks. Up-to-date information for 2022 will soon be available.

 

The database is an online platform accessible to the public, that hosts a structured and extensive database together with an interactive map organizing more than 3000 network members of the 48 certified Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe.

 

Network members include national, local, and regional authorities, museums and heritage sites, cultural institutions and NGOs, tourism stakeholders, universities and research centres, SMEs, route headquarters, represented within the networks across the member States of the Council of Europe and beyond.

 

The Cultural Routes Database filters data by cross-searching information according to Cultural Routes, countries, and network member categories. The interactive map also allows to locate the members of the networks and the European heritage concerned in Europe.

 

The Cultural Routes Programme continues to garner interest and pursues its efforts to reach new audiences and to expand its visibility to promote knowledge and understanding of our shared European cultural identity.
