Council of Europe Days were at the heart of the agenda of the Club of Venice’s plenary session (held in Palazzo Franchetti on 5-6 December 2024), and regarded as an interesting initiative in the framework for institutional communication.
The initiative was emphasized during the roundtable discussion “Strengthening cooperation in public communication: new plans, enhanced strategies and narratives to regain citizens’ trust, support policies and consolidate resiliencies”, where more than ninety communication specialists and experts from various European countries were introduced to the project.
The discussions focused, among other things, on disinformation challenges; capacity building in Artificial Intelligence, with focus on digital trends and threats and investments, including impact on crisis communication; Reinforcing cooperation with civil society, the academic world and the media sector.
The Club of Venice is an informal network of senior professionals from governments, the European Union, and European institutions, dedicated to exchanging best practices and discussing advancements in communication throughout Europe.
Before the meeting, the Council of Europe Days initiative was the main focus of the welcome reception held in the Venice office on 4 December.
