A new report welcomes anti-trafficking moves taken by authorities in Monaco, but also calls on them to adopt legal and practical measures aimed at respecting the human rights of the victims.
Although no victims of trafficking have been identified to date in Monaco, the Council of Europe’s Group of Experts on Action against Trafficking in Human Beings (GRETA) stresses the need to draw up a policy document covering the prevention of trafficking, training for professionals, protection of victims and the prosecution of traffickers.
The report also highlights the importance of identifying all victims and ensuring that they can access appropriate assistance and protection measures to help them with their physical, psychological and social recovery.
