Jean-Claude Mignon, President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), is to make an official visit to Ukraine from 26 to 28 March 2013.

In Kyiv on Tuesday, he is due to meet President Viktor Yanukovich, Prime Minister Mykola Azarov and Foreign Minister Leonid Kozhara. The following day he will meet the Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Volodymyr Rybak, and begins a series of meetings with the leaders of Ukraine's major political factions and the heads of key parliamentary committees.

Later in the day, he is also due to meet Eugenia Tymoshenko, the daughter of former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko, and Irina Lutsenko, the wife of former Interior Minister Yuri Lutsenko, as well as their legal representatives. (more...)
