The Secretary General of the Council of Europe has expressed in a letter to President Erdoğan his condolences on the terror attack on 20 August in Gaziantep.
In a statement directly after the attack on Sunday, the Secretary General said:
"I am devastated by the atrocious bomb attack in our member state Turkey which has claimed so many innocent victims at a marriage in Gaziantep. I condemn in the strongest possible terms all such terrorist attacks in Turkey. They which will achieve nothing, only yet more violence, bloodshed and suffering.
"I offer my sincere condolences to those who have lost their loved ones, to the Government and to the people of Turkey. We stand by our member state Turkey", he said.
