For the duration of the exhibition Greatest Hits (December 2017 to February 2018) the Kunstpalais offered guided tours in Arabic, Armenian, Persian, Russian and Turkish for the first time. The guided tours specifically targeted the communities of refugees in Erlangen for a first mutual acquaintance and an insight into the Municipal Collection. They can be regarded as a pilot project for a long-term intercultural exchange on new items in the programme; they were organized in cooperation with refugees. This offer was made possible thanks to collaboration with the Erlangen Refugee Forum, whose members will act as guides through the exhibition, in their native language.
The reduced entrance fee was 2 €, the guided tours were provided for free.
As of 2023 tours are being given in English, French Italian and Russian and there are still reduced entrance fees including for those in reception of benefits according to the Asylum Seekers Benefits Act.
