Kick-off meeting of the project “European Pact for Integration”
On 4-5 February the city of Cluj-Napoca (Romania) hosted the kick-off meeting of the European Pact for Integration (EPI). This is a project that brings together local and regional bodies from Estonia, Germany, Greece, Italy, Latvia, Poland, Romania, Spain and Sweden, to develop successful intercultural integration strategies through peer mentoring and knowledge exchange.
Registrations open for the Study visit to Kirklees
Registrations are now open for the Study visit to Kirklees that will take place on 25-26 March 2020 on “Reviving the town centre and high street – gentrification prevention through policies for public spaces”. ICC interested coordinators can register until 6th March.
Integrating migrants in the job market: Launch of the Closed Doors Day campaign
Montréal is rich in cultural diversity and has built its uniqueness thanks to the many immigrants who have chosen to make it their home. Even today, 60% of immigrants arriving in Québec choose to settle in Montréal. Unfortunately, while the unemployment rate for people born in Quebec is 5.1%, it is almost triple for recent immigrants.
Last year has been quite an intense and motivating year for the ICC programme. The 2019 ICC Annual report is now online and presents a summary of the main events and tools delivered.
