First positive outcomes of GRECO and FEDE’s co-operation on education

In December 2019, GRECO and the Federation for EDucation in Europe (FEDE), an international NGO with participatory status with the Council of Europe, developed a pioneering education module on anti-corruption, which forms part of FEDE's course on European Culture and Citizenship. To date, 3366 students have taken the course and corresponding exam at bachelor's level. The course is now being taught at 150 higher and vocational institutions in Belgium, France, Spain, Switzerland and Luxembourg (as well as various institutions in Morocco, Algeria, Ivory Coast, Senegal, Burkina Faso, Gabon and Congo). The module allows students to understand the social, economic and political impact of corruption, familiarising them with different forms of corruption, its causes and consequences, measures to fight corruption and international standards.
