Political Committee Secretariat
Defining activities:
- Provides secretariat services to committees, commissions, working groups, experts panels (e.g. for meetings, visits of high ranking officials) and to their chairs (e.g. advising, making proposals, handling correspondence);
- Assists and advises experts, representatives of member States and members of committees and commissions;
- Organises and participates in meetings, conferences, hearings, colloquiums, seminars or visits in the field.
Professional requirements:
- Higher education degree;
- Experience in committee or intergovernmental work.
Committee and monitoring Secretariat
Defining activities:
- Provides secretariat services to committees, commissions, working groups, experts panels (e.g. for meetings, visits of high ranking officials) and to their chairs (e.g. advising, making proposals, handling correspondence);
- verifies the implementation, execution and respect of conventions, agreements, treaties, judgments;
- organises and participates in monitoring missions.
Professional requirements:
- Higher education degree in a relevant field (law);
- experience in intergovernmental work and monitoring activities.
Political Advice
Defining activities:
- Keeps up to date on relevant political issues and events, externally and internally.
- Provides political analysis, advice, briefs and proposals for action concerning the role of the Council of Europe.
- Advises on issues regarding current and future programmes.
- Monitors and evaluates the impact of the activities of the Council of Europe.
Professional requirements:
- Knowledge and experience in the political field.
- Good knowledge of the Council of Europe's activities.
- Higher education degree.
