The complaint was submitted in 2019 by the Kazdagi Association for Protecting Natural and Cultural Heritage on the construction of the Ilisu Dam HPP in Turkey. According to the complainant, the construction will destroy key breeding, feeding and foraging grounds as well as stopover and roosting grounds of migratory species protected under Appendix II of the Bern Convention.
