The complaint was submitted by a Maltese citizen in 2012 concerning bird-killing by Maltese nationals during the spring season. According to the complainant, the concerned migratory bird populations are suffering a dramatic decline. The complainant states that these are legally huntable in Malta, but red listed in other European countries.
