3. Les procédures de PMA sont-elles prises en charge par le système de sécurité sociale ? Non. Bien que le traitement par FIV ne soit pas assuré par le service public de santé irlandais, les patients qui ont accès à un traitement par FIV dans un centre privé peuvent demander une réduction d’impôt pour les dépenses engagées, conformément au programme de réduction d’impôts pour les dépenses médicales. Par ailleurs, les médicaments figurant sur la liste des médicaments nécessaires au traitement de l’infertilité sont remboursés dans le cadre du programme de haute technologie géré par le Health Service Executive (HSE). Ces médicaments doivent être prescrits par un médecin spécialiste et approuvés par les High Tech Liaison Officers du HSE. Les frais correspondants sont alors pris en charge, selon le cas par la Medical Card ou le programme de remboursement des médicaments (Drugs Payment Scheme).
4. Cette prise en charge est-elle soumise à des critères particuliers (par exemple, infertilité, limite d’âge) ? Les services de procréation assistée sont proposés dans le secteur privé et il n’existe actuellement pas de limites bien établies liées à l’âge ou à l’infertilité. Toutefois, la plupart des centres prestataires de services de procréation assistée adhèrent aux lignes directrices de la société irlandaise de fertilité (Irish Fertility Society)
