Twenty-five court presidents from all over Belarus participated in a seminar that was organised for court presidents in Minsk (Belarus) on 13 November 2019.
Presentations on the Council of Europe standards related to the role of court presidents, European standards on relations between judges and mass media and benefits of having a system of confidential counselling within the judiciary were covered during the seminar, which also presented a six-hours’ training course on staff management, including effective communication and conflict resolution.
The event was organised within the framework of the project “Supporting the civil justice reforms – strengthening the judicial system in the Republic of Belarus” under the “European Union/Council of Europe Partnership for Good Governance”.
Positive feedback was received by the project team from the Supreme Court of Belarus and the participants of the seminar.
