The Centre of Expertise for Good Governance welcomes the request of the TÖOSZ - a national association of local authorities of Hungary - to implement ELoGE this year.
The European Label of Governance Excellence - ELoGE - is awarded to the municipalities which can demonstrate their compliance with the 12 Principles of Good Democratic Governance. It is also a learning and improvement tool for local authorities.
The first online workshop for the Hungarian stakeholders - the Association, the Ministry for Public Administration, and a group of mayors - was organised on 10 March to present the tool, to agree on the main steps in the process, and to discuss the overall implementation. The project will be launched officially later this year, in cooperation with the upcoming Hungarian Chairmanship of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe.
