The Centre of Expertise, in cooperation with the Ministry of Interior, associations of local authorities, and the Cyprus Academy of Public Administration (CAPA) is supporting implementation of the National Training Strategy for Local Authorities which it helped develop. The Strategy will support the local government reform which includes municipal amalgamations.

The first training of trainers and local authorities is taking place at CAPA and is focused on civil participation in the decision making, based on the CoE guidelines and a toolkit.

The next sessions in February and March will provide trainings on Human Resources Management and Performance Management.
