The Centre of Expertise is cooperating with the National Association of Municipalities of Tunisia (FNVT), and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP-Tunisia), in order to help build capacities of the Association to provide better advocacy and services for its members. Several workshops with the Council of Europe experts will be organised in order to present and prepare for the implementation of the toolkit on Strengthening Capacity of Local Government Associations, which offers the means to analyse and transform the performance of LGAs, in order to become more effective organisations. The tool includes development of specific financial, communication, and advocacy strategies.

The first workshop for the FNVT Leadership was held on 3 November. The next workshops are scheduled for 18 and 23 November.
