Around 30 local government experts from 14 member states from Council of Europe will gather from 6-10 March in Innsbruck, Austria to be introduced to the Council of Europe toolkits on Strategic Municipal Planning (SMP), Performance Management (PM) and Human Resource Management (HRM) and to deepen their understanding of Council of Europe’s values and strategies in the field of Good Governance.
The learning objectives of the winter school 2017 is to show participants in which ways effective SMP, PM and HRM support good governance and strengthen the institutional capacities of municipalities and how the practical tools of Council of Europe contribute to this goal.
The three toolkits on HRM, PM and SMP will be presented by lead experts, using a range of modern and innovative training methods. Throughout interactive sessions the participants will have the opportunity to explore key areas in more depth to understand how to work effectively with local people and partner organizations in the field in order to improve the respective areas.
The expert training is coorganised by Council of Europe (Centre of Expertise for Local Government Reform) and the Management Center Innsbruck (MCI), a privately organized college offering amongst other Executive Master programs and Management seminars.
