On 16-17 January 2020, CLEP project facilitated expert meetings with Moldovan authorities in order to present potential asset recovery coordination mechanisms between the institutions, discuss European and international practices in this field and implementation mechanisms to improve asset recovery results in the Republic of Moldova. General criteria for establishing a single multi-agency working group focused on domestic asset recovery and its Terms of Reference were discussed with representatives of Moldovan institutions (15 men and 2 women) and the Council of Europe experts. The activity also represented an occasion to discuss asset recovery operational effectiveness with competent authorities.
