In close co-operation with the Moldovan Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU), CLEP organized a two-day training for Moldovan commercial banks (17 participants, 11 women and 6 men) focused on identification and analysis of suspicious transactions. The training programme focused on financial monitoring, IT methodologies, strategies to avoid defensive reporting, good practices for beneficial ownership identification and most recent money laundering typologies involving financial institutions. The training aimed at further reducing the number of suspicious transactions reports received by the FIU, but also to improve their quality.
