The Joint CoE/EU Project against Economic Crime (PECK II) organised a Workshop on Developing a Toolkit for Managing Conflict of Interest in the public service. This event is a follow-up on the previous assistance provided with regard to drafting the Law on Conflict of Interest in Discharge of Public Functions and aims at supporting the implementation of this law.
Participants welcomed the development of the Toolkit and shared numerous practical conflict of interest situations which they have encountered as well as various issues which require guidance such as: tools and procedures to identify and assess types of conflict of interest situations, typical conflicts of interest and their identification, incompatibilities and outside activities, prohibitions and limitations including post-employment situations, ways and procedures in preventing and resolving conflict of interest.
The Toolkit will be finalised and presented to the beneficiary institutions and it is expected to support them in daily implementation of the Law with guidance and concrete examples.
