The Second Steering Committee Meeting of the Joint EU/CoE Project “Strengthen Prevention and Combating of Corruption in the Kyrgyz Republic” was held in Bishkek on 6 July 2017. Representatives of the main beneficiaries, including the General Prosecutor’s Office, Security Council, State Personnel Service, as well as the European Union Delegation to the Kyrgyz Republic were briefed on the progress achieved in the first six months of Project implementation, as well as on up-coming activities. Specific priority areas and ways to create synergies between on-going local initiatives and Project’s interventions were identified and agreed. A revised Project Logframe was discussed and approved. The beneficiary institutions highlighted successful activities such as trainings on ethics and effective corruption and economic crime investigations.
