On 1-2 September 2016 the Council of Europe will be holding a workshop in Strasbourg, France to discuss the draft AML/CFT National Risk Assessment Methodology developed by the Economic Crime and Cooperation Unit. International experts in the field of organized crime, risk assessments and financial markets, as well as representatives of Albania, Bulgaria, Italy, “the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia” and Montenegro will take part. The Workshop, funded partially through the CoE ordinary budget, and in part through the Joint CoE/EU Horizontal Facility for Western Balkans and Turkey, will aim to peer review and propose enhancements to the draft methodology for its subsequent use by CoE member-states.
