CARDS Regional Police Project (CARPO)
A Council of Europe/European Commission regional project against serious crime in South-eastern Europe
The CARDS regional project was aiming at strengthening police capacities against serious crime in South-Eastern Europe. The project was jointly funded by the European Commission and the Council of Europe. Launched on 1st of March 2004, the project ended in June 2007. The Council of Europe together with the consortium partners from Belgium, Finland, Hungary, Italy, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and the International Organisation for Migration were responsible for the implementation of the project.
