The Ministry of Justice of Tunisia, in co-operation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and with the support of the CyberSouth+ project, organised a training-of-trainers course for magistrates, in Tunis, from 11 to 13 June 2024.
Tunisia has already incorporated elements of cybercrime and electronic evidence into the national curriculum for magistrates, following the training modules provided under the previous CyberSouth project. National trainers were also identified, to cascade knowledge and skills on cybercrime and electronic evidence to more magistrates.
The activity aimed at reinforcing the national pool of experts by increasing the number of judges and prosecutors able to train their colleagues, and thus ensuring sustainability of continuous education.
The need for more judicial training opportunities on cybercrime and electronic evidence remains high, and the project will work further with the Ministry of Justice to enhance national capacities in this regard.
