Between 16 and 19 October 2023, the iPROCEEDS-2 project supported the participation of five representatives of the Ministry of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the annual ETSI Security Conference in Valbonne, France. The 2023 edition focused on Security Research and Global Security Standards in action.
Recently, the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina took a decision regarding legal interception, which placed specific obligations on telecom operators and ISPs concerning data retention and interception. In this context, the delegates from Bosnia and Herzegovina had the opportunity to exchange best practices with international cybersecurity experts on topics including cybersecurity standardisation, legislation, regulations and the latest developments in the field. The importance of attracting the next generation of cybersecurity professionals was also highlighted.
The iPROCEEDS-2 project will continue to support the implementation of co-ordinated cybercrime and cybersecurity policies and strategies, as well as to encourage co-operation between the cybersecurity community and criminal justice authorities in project countries/area.
