Within the scope of the iPROCEEDS-2 project that is nearing its completion, performance assessment workshops were carried out in the last two project countries to evaluate the progress made during the implementation period 2020–2023.
Two assessment visits were conducted in Belgrade, Serbia on 15-16 November and in Ankara, Türkiye on 22-23 November, in collaboration with the relevant national authorities.
Representatives of the Ministry of Justice, Prosecutor’s Office, cybercrime police units, financial investigation units, Financial Intelligence Units (FIU), CERTs, training institutions and other project target institutions presented the progress made in legislation, investigation, prosecution and adjudication of cybercrime cases, as well as the status of inter-agency, public-private and international co-operation.
The progress results of the iPROCEEDS-2 project will serve as basis for drafting the objectives of a new potential joint project of the European Union and of the Council of Europe in South East Europe and Türkiye.
