Within the scope of the iPROCEEDS-2 project that is nearing its completion, performance assessment workshops are being carried out in the project countries/area to evaluate the progress made during the implementation period 2020–2023.
Two assessment visits were conducted in Tirana, on 26-27 September and in Pristina on 26-28 September, in collaboration with the relevant domestic authorities.
Representatives of the Ministry of Justice, Prosecutor’s Office, cybercrime police units, financial investigation units, Financial Intelligence Units (FIU), CERTs and other project target institutions presented the progress made in legislation, investigation, prosecution and adjudication of cybercrime cases, as well as the status of inter-agency, public-private and international co-operation.
The progress results of the iPROCEEDS-2 project will serve as basis for drafting the objectives of a new potential joint project of the European Union and of the Council of Europe.
