26 representatives of the Central Electoral Commission of the Republic of Moldova, the Centre for Continuous Electoral Training, and the Central Electoral Council of the Autonomous Territorial Unit of Gagauzia improved their skills over the 3-day training course.

The training on ‘election day and results management’ utilising the Building Resources in Democracy, Governance and Elections (BRIDGE) methodology, was aimed at practical aspects of election day preparation and conduct, resolving electoral incidents, accessibility of voting spaces for people with a range of needs in line with a new Electoral Code and good international practices. Participants also addressed the management of electoral results, as well as possible crises that could appear on election day.

The activity was part of the capacity building efforts for the electoral administration ahead of the upcoming general local elections in Autumn 2023. All participants were awarded BRIDGE certificates for successful accomplishment.

The workshop was organised within the framework of the Council of Europe Project Improving Electoral Practice in the Republic of Moldova, Phase III.
