The Lithuanian National Radio and Television, LRT

LRT is Lithuania’s public service media that distributes content nation-wide on three television channels, three radio stations and via a news website.

LRT has a strong focus on news. It is the only media group in the country that broadcasts news around the clock. LRT web-portal operates news services in Lithuanian, English, Russian and Polish languages.

LRT has a broad network of correspondents covering in all five countries’ regions and a wide network of correspondents reporting from around the world, including from the bureau in Brussels opened in 2021 and a recently established bureau in Washington.

LRT has been paid exceptional attention to the ethical journalism standards. In 2021, LRT adopted the LRT Journalists Code of Ethics and it constantly reviews editorial processes to ensure compliance with the principles of ethical journalism.

LRT is a member of the European Broadcasting Union since 1993.
